We really like French Press and come here often. The coffee is great, the atmosphere inside is very nice, and overall it’s a place we enjoy. The one area that could really use some attention is the outdoor seating. The tables are often dirty, the area feels a little neglected, and the couches are very worn out with cushions that are completely sunken in and uncomfortable. With some new outdoor furniture, cleaner tables, and a little more attention to the overall aesthetics, this could be such a beautiful and enjoyable outdoor space. We really like this coffee shop and hope they consider giving the patio a little refresh!

The atmosphere is worth the trip alone. Norman love chocolate is inside. You can sit inside or outside and enjoy a pastry,bagel,coffee,latte or full breakfast. We enjoyed it all and will be returning.

On Saturday 05/02/26 we visited French Press Coffee House & Bistro for breakfast. The waterfront atmosphere and outdoor seating were beautiful and relaxing. My avocado toast was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of the meal. My husband’s breakfast was pretty good overall as well. Unfortunately, the Belgian waffle tasted artificial, almost like a boxed mix. It lacked that authentic Belgian waffle texture with a crisp outside and soft inside and instead had a processed flavor. The breakfast servers, one woman and one gentleman, were AHHMAZING. They were welcoming, polite, smiling, and truly made us feel comfortable. Unfortunately we did not get their names, but they deserved recognition. The reason for the 1 star review is because of Maya around 10 AM at the gelato counter. Maya put black gloves on but continued touching everything around the counter while serving customers. She also seemed very hesitant and annoyed about providing samples. We only wanted to try three flavors, but the attitude made my husband uncomfortable enough that he stopped asking and simply ordered the same flavors I chose. We only had gelato and lemon sorbetto today. Refreshing and good sized ! Their desserts are works of art !

I took my wife there to get a dessert from Norman Love. We would usually go to one of his stores in Fort Myers but we live in the Cape. They were out of most desserts as I know they are not made there. We got their last caramel chocolate and then a white chocolate as they said it was buy one get one. We understood exactly why it was buy one get one as they were absolutely horrible. It was stale and hard to put the fork through the dessert. I’m pretty sure if Norman Love knew his desserts were being sold that old he would not be happy. If I didn’t already know the quality of his things I would never try anything by Norman Love again it was that bad. I don’t understand how a coffee place or anything for that matter sell something like this. French press just lost our business but more importantly I hope Norman Love is made aware. We did get a coffee and Chai and they were fine but nothing special. Update: I emailed them back as they requested in their feedback back in January and still have not heard back from them. I’m guessing the response is automated as they clearly don’t care or mean what they say. I would not recommend going to this place and this is why I am changing my revi
